With its solid carbide drills, the new GD Series is specially designed for machining steel and cast iron materials.
All the drills of the Series have internal cooling and are available as of September in a 5xD length. The diameters range from 3 to 20 mm in 0.5 mm increments. Common intermediate sizes are available for cutting or forming threads.
The newly developed design with 4 guide chamfers stabilises the solid carbide drills at high feed rates. In combination with the special chip flute design, the GD Series allows a significantly higher rate of material removal. The multilayer PVD coating features a reduced risk of cracking and increased thermal stability. Together with the protective chamfers, the coating ensures long tool life.
The series enables high feed rates at low cutting speeds. As a result, productivity is up to 2.5 times higher compared to universal drills.
